Dr. Catherine Oden Fulton is committed to giving back to the community. Each year she participates in a number of programs aimed at educating young people about the importance of good oral hygiene. She is also a faithful sponsor of various scholarship programs and fundraisers.
Each February, Dr. Fulton visits elementary and middle schools in observance of Children's Dental Health Month. Her presentation is an engaging mix of interesting facts and magic tricks that convey an important message about good oral hygiene.
October is National Orthodontic Health Month. Each year, Dr. Fulton sponsors contests for her patients that raise awareness about the value of a beautiful, healthy smile. Contests typically challenge young patients to create posters or written compositions that express their ideas about orthodontics.

Give Kids a Smile! National Children’s Dental Access Day is a program promoted by the American Dental Association and the Virginia Dental Association that provides oral health screenings for disadvantaged children. Dr. Fulton is a regular participant in the program, which screens hundreds of local school children each year. |
| Dr. Fulton is an enthusiastic supporter of educational scholarships, such as Miss Hampton Holly Days Festival and Miss Hampton-Newport News, which are events that lead to the Miss Virginia competition and ultimately, the Miss America Pageant. |

Along with her community activities and various dental associations, Dr. Fulton has been a member the Junior League of Norfolk and Virginia Beach and a member of the Virginia Opera Guild. Interior decorating and singing are two of Dr. Fulton's favorite hobbies. She enjoys singing at various events and fundraisers in the community. |
