Dr. Catherine Fulton

Dr. Catherine Oden Fulton

Dr. Catherine Oden Fulton maintains three offices in Hampton Roads: one in Hampton, one in Norfolk and one in Virginia Beach. One of only four female orthodontists in Hampton Roads, Dr. Fulton is a well-established member of the dental community with more than fourteen years in practice. She is a member of the Virginia and Tidewater Dental Associations and the Virginia and Tidewater Orthodontic Associations. She is an associate member of the Peninsula Dental Society and the Northeast Society of Orthodontists. She is the recent past president of the Tidewater Orthodontic Association.

A native of Norfolk, Dr. Fulton attended Norfolk Collegiate and Norfolk Christian High School. She entered the pre-dental program at Emory University in Atlanta and finished her degree at Old Dominion University. She went on to attend the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry and then transferred to Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, School of Dentistry in New York, from which she received her D.D.S. in 1986.

Dr. Fulton has been a very active member of the community, serving on a number of boards and providing volunteer hours for worthy causes. She served for eight years as a member of the Junior League of Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Her work with the league included service as a Virginia Opera Association docent for seven years. She is currently a member of the Virginia Opera Guild. Dr. Fulton is also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Horizon Circle of the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters.

As a member of the Horizon Circle, Dr. Fulton served as the 1995 chairperson for the Leggett Fashion Show. She has been active in many other circle functions, including the Bid for the Kids auction. She also served as chairperson of the Tidewater Dental Association's Children's Dental Health Month program. Each year, as part of the Children's Dental Health Month program, Dr. Fulton gives talks to hundreds of students, educating them about the importance of dental health.

In 1997 Dr. Fulton was a recipient of the Outstanding Professional Women Award. She is respected member of the Hampton Roads business, professional and cultural community, who has contributed her time and skills to the betterment of our children's lives as a tireless campaigner for dental health and hygiene.
