What to Expect at Your First AppointmentListening to patients and discussing any concerns they may have is very important to Dr. Catherine Oden Fulton. This is never more important than at the first visit to our office. As part of your initial meeting, Dr. Fulton will perform a complete orthodontic examination, which will lead to a diagnosis of your case and an orthodontic treatment plan. You will discuss the estimated duration of your treatment and the costs associated with it. There is no charge for this visit, unless diagnostic records are taken or treatment is rendered. Diagnostic records may include x-rays, photographs and impressions of your teeth. These records play an important role in tracking the progress of your treatment. What to Bring With You
Your first appointment may take up to one hour in length. Financial arrangements can be discussed at the first appointment, and treatment may begin, depending on the circumstances. Subsequent appointments will vary in length, depending on what procedures you need during your visit. For example, a full banding appointment might require over an hour but a minor adjustment may take only 15 minutes. Adjustments are normally scheduled for afternoon appointments while bandings require attention in the morning or early afternoon. |
