Tooth Whitening

Please note that Dr. Catherine Oden Fulton does not recommend the use of tooth-whitening products during orthodontic treatment. Orthodontic brackets protect enamel. As a result, the covered area of the tooth will not whiten like the surrounding areas, leaving a spot. Care should be taken when purchasing many of today’s toothpastes and mouthwashes because many contain tooth-whitening agents.

After orthodontic treatment, patients have the option to put that final whitening touch on their new smile. Dr. Fulton offers upper and lower custom trays and bleaching materials to her patients. Please let a team member know if you are interested in brightening your new smile.
